This is a physically demanding course that will cover the following: injured/downed officer rescues, injured/downed officer use of firearms, room clearing, discussion of equipment specifically designed for females, low-light techniques, weapon retention and disarming techniques, ground fighting techniques designed for females, spontaneous knife defense. Each participant will need: comfortable clothing (old clothing for range work; you will get dirty), shoes or boots with ankle support, duty belt with holster, handcuffs with key, duty handgun with three magazines and 200 rounds of practice ammunition, baton/straight, side handle or ASP and holder, eye and ear protection, body armor. Optional items: knee/elbow pads and gloves.
